Welcome to the Talujaloomad.ee website

Talujaloomad is a place where animals, people and nature live together in a pleasant, shared rhythm. 🐄🐑🐴🐇

Our farm is located in Kulli village, Elva Parish, and a whole little animal kingdom is waiting to be discovered here. You can meet sheep, goats, horses and rabbits, as well as a variety of birds and other lovely farm residents.

What matters most to us is that the animals feel well and that people are happy to be here. We want to give you the chance to step away from everyday life for a while, breathe fresh air, meet the animals and experience the simple joy that a real farm carries within it.

Here you can watch the animals, get closer to them, pet them and, at the right time, treat them to something tasty. Our farm suits animal lovers both small and big – there is joy of discovery for everyone.

Our wish is to preserve that special bond between people, animals and the land. Because sometimes, luckily, you don’t need much – one friendly animal, a sunny day and a little bit of farm life is enough. ❤️🌿

Come and visit us and become part of our animals’ world!

How did the farm begin?

We were living in an apartment near Rakvere. One morning at six o’clock we made a decision – we were moving away. We had no big plans. At the time we had a Volkswagen Transporter – old, but a good, reliable friend. We packed everything we needed into the van, as much as would fit, and set off. Looking back, we had no idea what was waiting for us, but that didn’t stop us. They say you should listen to your heart, and that is exactly what we did. We drove until we reached Hallik, Kulli village, in Elva Parish. It was a place where the grass around the house grew taller than a person, and the house – a small summer cottage – had four walls, a roof and that was all. No more. There was no water, no sewerage and no electricity. But it was our home. We had exactly 100 euros in our wallet, but then everything changed.

Our challenges

For the first half year we lived without water and, in practice, without electricity too. Still, already in the autumn we slowly began working on the surroundings of the house and insulating it as much as we could. The house had old, broken windows at the time, but in the middle of winter we managed to replace them – it made things much warmer. Towards spring we finally got electricity and water connected. At the beginning we had one firm promise – we would not take any four-legged animals other than a cat and a dog. No big farm animals for us! But life turned out differently. We fell in love with Cameroon sheep, and one of them found its way to our home. So that it wouldn’t be lonely, two goats came to keep it company. And so that the goats wouldn’t get bored, a legendary Scottish Highland cow arrived. That is how animals we never expected became members of our family.

Our lovely animals

We started with 3 chickens and 3 ducks. Then came the Cameroon sheep, two goats and Matu the Scottish Highland cow. But the story didn’t end there. Now we also have horses proudly strolling around the pasture, and next to them curious rabbits and guinea pigs, who are the absolute favourites of the children. Dwarf hamsters bustle about in their nests, turtles slowly stretch out their necks and goldfish swim around. Ducks, geese and chickens walk importantly across the yard, and beside them stride proud turkeys. The peacock spreads his tail fan in the sun and quails scurry about in tiny steps. And so our company of animals has grown quite large – each with their own story, their own character and their own place in this lovely farm life.

What is the farm like today?

Today our farm is full of life. Wherever you look, there is someone – horses and ponies walking proudly on the pasture, Scottish Highland cattle calmly chewing grass, sheep and goats bustling about together, rabbits and guinea pigs peeking out of their enclosures, chinchillas busy in their nests. People come to us from far away, because they are looking for the peace and warmth of heart that you can’t find in the city. They bring carrots, apples and bread and can offer them to the animals with their own hands. Petting the animals and giving them a treat helps relieve stress and brings out the happiness hormones. So it is worth a try – get in touch and come and visit us. We are waiting for you!
